Services & Fees
Beginning November 1st, 2024 I will begin accepting Premera and Lifewise Insurance.
If I do not take your insurance I can provide a superbill, which is a receipt of services that you can present to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. This does not guarantee reimbursement. You will need to ask your provider about out-of-network benefits for mental health therapy.

Are we a good fit?
I am deeply passionate about working with adolescents (13+) and young adult women, gender-diverse, neurodivergent, or LGBTQIA+ individuals. I generally work with individuals ages 13-40, but have worked with individuals from age 5 to age 75 and have loved that work as well. Similarly, I also enjoy working with individuals who are experiencing life transitions and/or individuals who have experienced religious trauma or are trying to figure out what role religion or spirituality plays in their lives.
I recognize the unique challenges and experiences faced by individuals within these communities, and I am committed to providing a safe, affirming, and empowering space where everyone's identities are respected and celebrated.

I practice a very eclectic approach to counseling, recognizing that no one theory or modality will fit us perfectly all the time. Instead, we work together to explore what has and hasn’t worked for you in the past, creating a blend of interventions and tools that work best for you!
Modalities
-
In person-centered therapy, you are at the heart of the process, guiding the direction of sessions based on your needs and experiences. Person-centered therapy means that I believe in your innate capacity for growth and self-understanding. You know you best! I will support you in exploring your values and goals and will seek to understand the systems you have created in your life while exploring habits and behaviors that may no longer meet your needs.
-
Somatic therapy is a holistic approach that recognizes the mind-body connection, understanding that emotional experiences are stored not only in the mind but also in the body. In sessions, I will aim to help you explore the physical sensations, tensions, and movements associated with your emotions, trauma, or stress. By paying attention to bodily sensations and movements, you can gain insight into unconscious patterns and release pent-up emotions. Through techniques such as breathwork, mindfulness, and gentle movement, somatic therapy aims to promote relaxation, self-awareness, and healing on a deep level.
-
I am not professionally trained in IFS, however, I seek to utilize components in sessions as a means of helping you access deeper healing. Internal Family Systems (IFS) theory views the mind as composed of multiple "parts," each with its own unique thoughts, emotions, and motivations. In therapy, the goal is to help you explore and understand these internal parts, which can range from protective "managers" to wounded "exiles." By cultivating self-awareness and compassion, you can learn to access your true Self, a core aspect that can provide healing and balance to the system of internal parts.
-
Strength-based counseling theory focuses on identifying and utilizing your inherent strengths, resources, and abilities to overcome challenges and achieve your goals. In therapy, the emphasis is placed on exploring your positive qualities, skills, and past successes rather than dwelling solely on weaknesses or deficits. By highlighting your strengths and empowering you to build upon them, this approach fosters resilience, confidence, and self-efficacy. Through collaboration, you'll develop strategies and solutions that leverage your strengths to address issues and enhance your well-being.
-
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) aims to help you develop skills for managing emotions, improving relationships, and coping with distress. In therapy, you'll learn practical strategies such as mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness to navigate life's challenges more effectively. DBT emphasizes validation and acceptance while also encouraging change and personal growth, offering a balanced approach to addressing difficulties and creating a life worth living.
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a goal-oriented approach to therapy that focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In therapy, we'll work together to identify and challenge unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior that may be contributing to your difficulties. Through structured exercises, you'll learn new skills and strategies to manage your emotions, solve problems, and change negative thought patterns. By gaining insight into the link between your thoughts, emotions, and actions, CBT empowers you to make positive changes and achieve your personal goals.
-
Creative therapies such as art, music, or movement engage the mind, body, and spirit in ways that are distinct from verbal articulation alone. Although I am not specially trained in creative arts therapies I enjoy utilizing creativity in sessions when appropriate and desired by you. Through the process of creating art and reflecting on your artwork, you'll gain insight into your inner world and develop new perspectives on your experiences. Art therapy provides a safe and supportive environment for self-expression and personal growth, allowing you to tap into your creativity as a means of self-discovery and healing.
